Install the Chrome extension

Requires Chrome 88 or newer (Manifest V3). This installs the extension from your local files for testing via developer mode.

1. Download the Chrome extension (.zip)
2. Unzip the downloaded file into a folder.
3. In Chrome, go to chrome://extensions/.
4. Turn on Developer mode (the toggle in the top-right corner).
5. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped honest-reporting-chrome folder (the one containing manifest.json).
6. Optionally pin it from the puzzle-piece icon menu in the toolbar.

On first use the extension asks permission to read the page so it can send the article to the analysis service.
